The RibsAndRubs.com All-Stars Score Big At MIM

Rehoboth, DE – The RibsAndRubs.com All-Star competition barbecue team registered a
respectable 7th place in the Poultry Division in their first attempt at the Memphis In May
World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest.

The RibsAndRubs.com “best of the best” sauce & seasoning competition team is comprised
of Austin Spice Company’s Pit Master, Craig Barton; Cackalacky Classic Condiment
Company’s Zest Master, H. Page Skelton; Texas Rib Rangers’ Pit Master Bill Milroy;
RibsAndRubs.com’s president and Sauce Boss, Chip Hearn.  Each team member was
selected to compete with the RibsAndRubs.com All-Stars because they have each proven
themselves to be a master barbecuer and sauce chef in his own right.

Prior to being tapped for the daunting task of competing with the motley RibsAndRubs.com
line-up, each team member competed solo under their own company names on the KCBS
and IBCA circuits.  And, like any Major League athlete, the RibsAndRubs.com team
members have risen up through the barbecue ranks by winning hundreds of national awards
for their sauces, seasonings, and competition barbecue morsels through their respective
enterprises.  However, until now, the trophy-studded team had never competed together at
Memphis in May.

According to team founder and spokesman, Chip Hearn, the concept behind Team
RibsAndRubs.com is “to be a representative sampling of the ‘best of the best’ competition
sauces & seasonings and pit bosses that America has to offer”  “And,” he adds, “We sell
only sauces and seasonings that have won national awards.  MIM is certainly one of the best
opportunities for us to prove that ‘we’ve got the goods.’  These guys – Bill, Craig, and Page
- are like American barbecue mercenaries bearing barbecue sauce bottles for M-16’s and
tongs for bayonets!”

In addition to their good fortune on the barbecue circuit, the team is also attracting serious
international media attention.  They have also recently picked up the added benefit of two
major corporate sponsorships: Ole Hickory Pits, and The Original Charcoal Company.
According to All-Star team member Page Skelton, a certified barbecue judge and president
of the Cackalacky Classic Condiment Company, Team RibsAndRubs.com is “…like a well-
tuned NASCAR team – complete with our own corporate sponsors, high-performance
machines and fuel, and fans!  But, I don’t let it go to my head.  There’s not much room for
big egos out here.  Plus, I am humbled by the reputation of my teammates and our
competition.  But, make no mistake: barbecue is the ultimate extreme sport.  It takes
endurance, fortitude, ESP-like teamwork, and darn good sauces and seasonings to do what
we do.”

The recipe that helped the team win high honors at MIM is an example of the how well the
RibsAndRubs.com team member’s talents and products come together to win big: They
used the Cackalacky’s Chicken Lollipop recipe and Cackalacky Spice Sauce as a marinade,
seasoned with Austin Spice’s Red Lemon Pepper Seasoning, and finished Texas Rib
Ranger’s Spicy BBQ Sauce.
